Recent work for Serge Ferrari
I was fortunate to be selected by French photo agency @AgenceRéa to photograph Andrew Lingman, GM of Baytex Manufacturing Ltd, for Serge Ferrari – the French textile manufacturer – to celebrate their 50 years in business!
Baytex’s partnership with Serge Ferrari dates back to the mid-'90s, following challenges with their previous supplier. One of their earliest iconic projects was the Torvill & Dean Ice Skating Performance Tent.
Baytex was founded in Tauranga in 1969 by Mr. Tankard and became a company in 1976. In 1991, Spencer and Wendy Tankard purchased the business, marking a new chapter for the company. Today, Baytex is a leader in innovative marquees and tent structures, serving hire companies across New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific Islands, the USA, the UK, and Europe.
This isn’t my first assignment for Baytex, there been several over the years—back in 2011, I had the privilege of photographing the then-director, Wendy Tankard, for Specialty Fabric Review magazine, highlighting her efforts to bring women apprentices into the business.
