Congratulations to local client Infinity Lighting, they have been chosen as a finalist of the Photographic Competition 2011, the annual contest open to all lighting professionals that cooperate with Italian Lighting manufacturer Simes.
I was selected to photograph this project for Infinity Lighting based on my previous work for them and other lighting companies. They new the competition was being judged soley from the photographs.
The project was the University of Waikato, Performing Arts Centre walkway in Hamilton. The walkway provides patrons with a LED lit walkway from the car park to the centre, the LED foot lights change colour.
The 12 finalists will be voted by Euroluce visitors and the best three project pictures will be awarded during the Exhibition.
The projects will be selected according to three categories: prestige of the projects, photographic quality, creativity.

I have been shooting quite of bit of work for international clients recently, just published in the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Review magazine is a studio portrait of Wendy Tankard director of the award winning Baytex Manufacturing. The profile is about her role in building their workforce. (I also quoted a weeks work for a Australian Mining company through Emedia Creative in Sydney). And I have just finished shooting a job for the Multinational Abbott Healthcare, the pics will appear on my blog once published.

We were asked recently by Tuskany Agency to provide images for the new packaging for Asado Foods Rosco’s Burger Patties. We discussed options and presented styles that would work with the new design, and after that it was left up to us to find a food stylist. We chose to use Carl Sutton, a local legend in the culinary world. Carl sourced the ingredients for the burgers and the product was shot at the studio on a portable grill. Four different burger images were provided with three different background images of the patties.
Asado foods are very happy with the new packaging that has played a major part in the rebranding of the product. Job delivered on time and on budget.

Studio image for Riddle Me This

Fashion image for Women
I won two Silvers in the Commercial /Advertising section of the *nz ipp awards held last weekend in Queenstown.
Both were shot for local fashion clients, it is especially rewarding as both shots came from commercial shoots and have been used by clients, Liz Turner ‘Riddle me This’ and Toni Maree Gudsell of ‘Women’, win awards.
Neither print has a lot of post production photoshop manipulation, both were printed on metallic photographic paper which give the highlight a reflective quality.
